This is a unique project in that it is a mobile hearing testing facility. The challenge we were given was to make the inside of a trailer durable and functional for industrial site visits (picture muddy, grease laden heavy equipment operators trudging in) yet pleasant enough to work as a rural, albeit mobile, audiology and hearing aid clinic (envision any town in Oregon too small to have its own dedicated hearing booth).
Central Oregon Audiology purchased a customized fifth wheel trailer to provide hearing testing services to both industrial clients and rural medical clinics. The trailer interior was bare except for a large hearing test booth that COA slid in through the double rear doors. |

We usually dont give a lot of thought to the chair we plunk down into every day. In many cases the chair came with the office and the rest of the furniture when we started the job. For our health and that of our employees we should pay more attention to what we are sitting on.
If you are sitting on a chair that costs $100 or less it probably isn't doing you much good, other than providing a place to park your posterior. A good quality task chair should provide lower back support, proper thigh support, have an adjustable seat back angle and be height adjustable to give proper knee angle. |
